Dawid Malan's blistering 49-ball 82 and Moeen Ali's quick-fire 44 before Sam Curran's three-for with again  held his nerve as England pulled off a another 8-run victory over Australia, despite a Mitchell Marsh - Tim David's assault and took an unassailable 2-0 lead to seal the series in a high-voltage game of the second T20I.

  • England's 8-run win was their joint third smallest victory by terms of runs against Australia in T20 internationals.
  • England's 178 was their eighth highest score against Australia in T20 internationals.
  • Australia's 170 was their eighth highest score against England in T20Is.
  • 92 : Dawid Malan and Moeen Ali set up the second highest fifth-wicket partnership for England against Australia in T20 international and the England's fourth highest fifth-wicket stand in T20Is.

England scored 178-7 in 20 overs with top scorer by Dawid Malan blasted a 82 off 49-balls.

Moeen Ali hammered a 44 off 27-balls including 4-fours & 2-sixes with strike rate of 162.96 and Jos Buttler hit 17 off 13-balls included 3-fours.

Australia best bowler by Marcus Stoinis picked up 3-wickets, Adam Zampa took 2-wickets and one for Pat Cummins - Mitchell Starc.

Australia scored 170-6 in 20 overs with top scorer by Mitchell Marsh hammered a 45 off 29-balls including 3-fours & 2-sixes with strike rate of 155.17.

Tim David blasted a 40 off 23-balls including 5-fours & a six with strike rate of 173.91, Marcus Stoinis hit 22 off 13-balls included 2-fours & a six and Pat Cummins 18 not out.

England best bowler by Sam Curran picked up 3-wickets for 25-runs in 4-overs, Ben Stokes, David Willey and Reece Topley each took one-wickets.

Dawid Malan named Player of the match for his blistering 82-runs knocked off facing 49-balls including 7-fours & 4-sixes with strike rate of 167.34.
