Pace bowling attack from Lungi Ngidi's four-wicket haul and Wayne Parnell's three-for before Superb Half-centuries from Aiden Markram and David Miller helped to South Africa convincing five-wicket victory over India and go to top of the points table in Group 2 in the 30th match of a T20 World Cup.

India lost their top five batsmen wickets for just 49-runs - which was their fourth worst first five-wicket collapse in T20 international and it is their worst first 5-wicket collapse against South Africa in T20Is, Their previous worst such collapse was five for 67-runs against South Africa at Cuttack in 2015. India's 133 was their third lowest score in the completed innings against South Africa in T20 international and It their fifth lowest total in a T20 World Cup. 9 : Suryakumar Yadav equalled a joint most fifty plus scores hit in a calendar year 2022 in T20Is, jointly with Mohammad Rizwan (PAK). 52 : Suryakumar Yadav and Dinesh Karthik set up the record sixth-wicket partnership for India against South Africa in T20 international, previously held by the 40-run stand between Suresh Raina and MS Dhoni at Colombo (RPS) in the 2012 World Twenty20 and the India's second highest sixth-wicket stand in a T20 World Cup. 76 : Aiden Markram and David Miller set up the fifth highest fourth-wicket partnership for South Africa against India in T20 international and the South Africa's second highest fourth-wicket stand in a T20 World Cup.

India scored 133-9 in 20 overs with top scorer by Suryakumar Yadav hammered a 68 off 40-balls including 6-fours & 3-sixes with strike rate of 170.

Rohit Sharma hit 15 off 14-balls including one-six & a four and Virat Kohli 12.

South Africa best bowler by Lungi Ngidi 4-29, Wayne Parnell picked up 3-wickets for 15-runs in 4-overs including a maiden and Anrich Nortje took one-wicket for 23-runs in 4-overs.

South Africa chased 134-5 in 19.4 overs with top scorer by David Miller cracked a unbeaten 56 off 46-balls including 3-sixes & 3-fours.

Aiden Markram struck 52 off 41-balls including 6-fours & a six and Temba Bavuma scored 10 off 15-balls included a six.

India best bowler by Arshdeep Sing takes 2-wickets, Mohammed Shami, Hardik Pandya and Ravichandran Ashwin each took one-wickets.

Lungi Ngidi named Player of the match for his pace bowling attack to claimed a 4-wickets for 29-runs in 4-overs.
