Cameron Green, David Warner, Alex Carey sets up to Australia crushing innings and 182-run victory over South Africa and took an unassailable 2-0 lead to seal the series in a one-sided boxing day Test of the second Test match.

  • Australia registered a first home series win against South Africa since the 2005-06.

1st innings Australia best bowler by Cameron Green claimed a career-best 5-wicket haul for 27-runs in 10.4-overs including three maidens, Mitchell Starc took 2-wickets and one for Scott Boland - Nathan Lyon.

Australia 1st Innings scored 575-8 for declared in 145 overs with top scorer by David Warner retired hurt for 200 off 254-balls - which was his 3rd Test double-hundred & his first double-century against South Africa in Tests - including 16-fours & 2-sixes with strike rate of 78.74.

Alex Carey hammered a 111 off 149-balls - which was his 1st ODI hundred - including 13-fours, Steve Smith struck 85 off 161-balls including 9-fours & a six.

Travis Head hammered a 51 off 55-balls included 7-fours & a six with strike rate of 92.72, Cameron Green scored a unbeaten 51 off 177-balls included five boundaries and Nathan Lyon blasted a 25 off 17-balls including 3-fours & a six with strike rate of 147.05.

1st Innings South Africa best bowler by Anrich Nortje picked up 3-wickets, Kagiso Rabada took 2-wickets and one for Marco Jansen - Lungi Ngidi.

South Africa 2nd Innings scored 204 for all-out in 68.5 overs with top scorer by Temba Bavuma struck 65 off 144-balls including 6-fours.

Kyle Verreynne cracked a 33 off 40-balls including 5-fours, Theunis de Bruyn scored 28 off 68-balls included two boundaries, Sarel Erwee 21 and Lungi Ngidi 19.


2nd Innings Australia best bowler by Nathan Lyon picked up 3-wickets, Scott Boland takes 2-wickets, Steve Smith, Pat Cummins and Mitchell Starc each took one-wickets.

David Warner named Player of the match for his quick-fire batting performance to smashed a 200-runs on his 100th Test match.
