Virat Kohli's record-breaking century and Shubman Gill's brilliant century before Mohammed Siraj's career-best four-wicket haul helped to India registered a world record-breaking 317-run victory over Sri Lanka and clinch the three-match series 3-0 whitewash in a historic one-sided game of the third ODI.

Match Stats : 
  • India's 317-run was the largest victory by terms of runs in One-day international cricket history, surpassing the previous record of 290-run win by New Zealand against Ireland at Aberdeen in 2008.
  • Sri Lanka's 319-run defeat was their worst by margin of runs in ODIs, previous biggest defeat was 258 against South Africa at Paarl in 2012.
  • This is the eighth time India have whitewashed their oppositions in a bilateral three-match series in One-day international and their second against Sri Lanka in ODIs.
  • This is the sixth time Sri Lanka have suffered a clean sweep in a bilateral three-match series in One-day internationals.
  • 21 : Virat Kohli hit the most hundreds in home venue matches in One-day international cricket history, surpassing the previous record of 20-centuries by Sachin Tendulkar.
  • Virat Kohli became the first player to score ten centuries against Sri Lanka in ODI cricket history.
  • 10 : Virat Kohli became the most centuries hit by any batsman against a single opposition team in One-day international cricket history, surpassing the previous record of 9-centuries jointly hit by Sachin Tendulkar (9) against Australia and Virat Kohli (9) against West Indies.
  • Virat Kohli's unbeaten 166 was his second highest score for India in One-day international and the fifth highest-score by an Indian batsman against Sri Lanka in ODIs.
  • 8 : Virat Kohli equalled a joint sixth most sixes hit in an innings for India in One-day international, jointly with Yusuf Pathan and Rohit Sharma and the fourth most-sixes hit by an Indian batsman against Sri Lanka in ODIs.
  • 12754 : Virat Kohli became the fifth leading run-scorer in One-day internationals.
  • India's 390 was their ninth highest score in One-day international and It is their fourth highest total against Sri Lanka in ODIs.
  • India's 390 was the highest score by any team at Greenfield International Stadium in One-day international, previous highest was 105 by India against West Indies in a run-chasing in 2018.
  • 131 : Shubman Gill and Virat Kohli set up the seventh highest second-wicket partnership for India against Sri Lanka at their home venue in One-day internationals.
  • 108 : Virat Kohli and Shreyas Iyer set up the seventh highest third-wicket partnership for India against Sri Lanka at their home venue in ODIs.
  • 5 : Virat Kohli equalled a joint fifth most 150+ scores in One-day internationals, jointly with Sachin Tendulkar and Chris Gayle.
  • Sri Lanka's 73 was their fourth lowest score in the completed innings in One-day international and It is their worst-total against India in ODIs, previous lowest was 96 at Sharjah in 1984.
  • 283 : Virat Kohli hit the most runs in a bilateral three-match series for India in One-day international, surpassing the his own record of 263-runs hit against same opponent in 2017.

India scored massive total of 395 in 50 overs with top scorer by Virat Kohli hammered a unbeaten 166 off 110-balls - which was his 46th ODI hundred & his tenth century against Sri Lanka in ODIs.

Shubman Gill blasted a 116 off 97-balls - which was his 2nd ODI hundred & his first century against Sri Lanka in ODIs - including 14-fours & 2-sixes with strike rate of 119.58.

Rohit Sharma struck 42 off 49-balls including 3-sixes & 2-fours and Shreyas Iyer scored 38 off 32-balls included 2-fours & a six with strike rate of 118.75.

Sri Lanka best bowler by Kasun Rajitha, Lahiru Kumara both took 2-wickets and one for Chamika Karunaratne.

Sri Lanka scored 73 for all-out in 22 overs with top scorer by Nuwanidu Fernando hit 19 off 27-balls including 4-fours.

Kasun Rajitha scored a unbeaten 13 off 19-balls including 2-fours, Dasun Shanaka 11 and Lahiru Kumara 9.

India best bowler by Mohammed Siraj claimed a career-best 4-wickets for 32-runs in 10-overs including a maiden with economy rate of 3.2, Kuldeep Yadav and Mohammed Shami both took 2-wickets.

Virat Kohli named Player of the match for his quick-fire unbeaten 166-runs knocked off facing 110-balls including 13-fours and 8-sixes with strike rate of 150.90.

Virat Kohli earned player of the series for contributing 283-runs in the three-match series.
