Bowlers attack, Mudassar Nazar's all-round display and Wasim Raza's superb unbeaten 41 helped to Pakistan convincing five-wicket victory over Sri Lanka and clinch the three-match series with 2-1 in the third One-day international.


* The Sri Lankans returned home empty handed from Pakistan after their five-wicket defeat in the third and final One-day internationals.

* Pakistan took the limited overs series 2-1 and beat the tourists 2-0 in the Test series.


Sri Lanka scored 218 for all-out in 38.3 overs with top scorer by Roy Dias struck 49 off 59-balls - who fell one-run short of his half-century - including five boundaries.

Ranjan Madugalle blasted a 46 off 41-balls including 3-fours & 2-sixes with strike rate of 112.19, Duleep Mendis cracked a 44 off 47-balls included 5-fours.

Sidath Wettimuny scored 27 off 37-balls including 2-fours & a six and Anura Ranasinghe blasted a 24 off 15-balls included 2-sixes & 2-fours with strike rate of 160.

Pakistan best bowler by Imran takes 2-wickets for 10-runs in 7-overs including a maiden, Sikander Bhakht, Mudassar Nazar both took 2-wickets and one for Tauseef Ahmed - Wasim Raza.

Pakistan chased 222-5 in 38.1 overs with top scorer by Mudassar Nazar cracked a 79 off 82-balls.

Wasim Raza blasted a unbeaten 41 off 33-balls including 5-fours & a six with strike rate of 124.24, Mohsin Khan struck 36 off 49-balls included 4-fours, Mansoor Akhtar scored 31 off 36-balls including two boundaries and Imran Khan 15 not out.

Sri Lanka best bowler by Ajit de Silva picked up 3-wickets for 41-runs in 8-overs, Anura Ranasinghe and Arjuna Ranatunga both took one-wickets.

Mudassar Nazar named Player of the match for his match-winning all-round performance to smashed a superb 79 off 82-balls including 9-fours after taking 2-wickets for 42-runs in 8-overs.
