Impressive Three-wicket hauls from Luke Wood and Debutant Brydon Carse before Dawid Malan's well-made half-century and Harry Brook's blazing 43* helped to England comfortable seven-wicket victory over New Zealand and take a 1-0 lead in a one-sided game of the first T20I.

New Zealand scored 139-9 in 20 overs with top scorer by Glenn Phillips struck 41 off 38-balls including 4-fours.

Finn Allen hit 21 off 15-balls including 3-sixes with strike rate of 140 and Ish Sodhi scored 16 off 12-balls included one-six & a four.

England best bowler by Debutant Brydon Carse - who took three-wickets on his debut T20I match.

Luke Wood picked up 3-wickets for 37-runs in 4-overs, Moeen Ali, Adil Rashid and Liam Livingstone each took one-wickets.

England chased 143-3 in 14 overs with top scorer by Dawid Malan struck 54 off 42-balls including 5-fours & 2-sixes.

Harry Brook hammered a unbeaten 43 off 27-balls including 3-sixes & 2-fours with strike rate of 159.25, Will Jacks hit 22 off 12-balls included 2-fours & a six with strike rate of 183.33.

New Zealand best bowler by Ish Sodhi, Tim Southee and Lockie Ferguson each took one-wickets.

Brydon Carse named Player of the match for his Impressive debut bowling performance to picked up 3-wickets for 23-runs in 4-overs.
