Will Jacks' brilliant 94 and Debutant Sam Hain's impressive debut 89 before Rehan Ahmed's four-for, Debutant George Scrimshaw and Matthew Potts' combined 5-wickest helped to England comfortable 48-run victory over Ireland, despite a late fightback from tailenders and take a 1-0 lead in the second ODI.

England scored massive total of 334-8 in 50 overs with top scorer by Will Jacks blasted a 94 off 88-balls - who fell six-run short of his century.

Debutant Sam Hain - who hit 89 off 82-balls on his debut ODI match - including 8-fours, Ben Duckett struck 48 off 49-balls - who fell two-run short of his half-century - included 6-fours & a six.

Brydon Carse cracked a 32 off 30-balld including 2-fours & a six and Phil Salt hit 28 off 21-balls included 6-fours with strike rate of 133.33.

Ireland best bowler by George Dockrell picked up 3-wickets for 43-runs in 8-overs, Craig Young takes 2-wickets, Mark Adair, Barry McCarthy and Josh Little each took one-wickets.

Ireland scored 286 for all-out in 46.4 overs with top scorer by George Dockrell struck 43 off 54-balls including 3-fours & 2-sixes.

Barry McCarthy cracked a 41 off 38-balls including 4-fours & a six, Craig Young hit a unbeaten 40 off 44-balls included 2-sixes & 2-fours.

Harry Tector hit 39 off 40-balls including 5-fours, Josh Little scored a run-a-ball 29-runs included 4-fours & a six and Paul Stirling struck 25 off 17-balls included 4-fours & a six with strike rate of 147.05.

England best bowler by Rehan Ahmed claimed a career-best 4-wickets for 54-runs in 10-overs, Debutant George Scrimshaw - who picked up 3-wickets on his debut ODI match, Matthew Potts took 2-wickets and one for Brydon Carse.

Will Jacks named Player of the match for his brilliant batting performance to scored 94-runs knocked off facing 88-balls including 7-fours & 4-sixes with strike rate of 106.81.
