Australian all-rounder Glenn Maxwell produced a sensational record-breaking batting performance to smashed a whirlwind 106-runs knocked off facing 44-balls including 9-fours and 8-sixes helped to Australia posted mammoth total of 399 against Netherlands in the 24th match of a Cricket World Cup.
* Glenn Maxwell hammered a 40-ball fastest century ever in ODI World Cup history, surpassing the previous record of 49-ball hundred held by Aiden Markram against Sri Lanka at same venue earlier in this tournament.
* Glenn Maxwell hammered a 40-ball fastest hundred by an Australian batsman in One-day international cricket history, surpassing the his own record of 51-ball century against Sri Lanka at Sydney in 2015.
Glenn Maxwell who hammered his 3rd One-day International century, his first century against Netherlands in ODIs and also his second hundred in ODI World Cup and his 100 came from 40-balls.
