India scored 227-8 in 50 overs with top scorer by Navjot Sidhu struck 80 off 88-balls, Mohinder Amarnath scored 28 off 39-balls, Mohammad Azharuddin hit 26 off 43-balls, Ravi Shastri cracked a run-a-ball 21-runs and Kris Srikkanth 16.

Sri Lanka best bowler by Ravi Ratnayeke picked up 3-wickets for 35-runs in 10-overs including a maiden, Graeme Labrooy and Kapila Wijegunawardene both took one-wickets.

Sri Lanka scored 221 for all-out in 49.4 overs with top scorer by Asanka Gurusinha cracked a career-best 83 off 106-balls including 6-fours.

Graeme Labrooy cracked a 25 off 19-balls, Athula Samarasekera scored 22 off 35-balls, Ravi Ratnayeke 20 and Aravinda de Silva each scored 20-runs.

India best bowler by Kapil Dev picked up 3-wickets for 26-runs in 8.4-overs including two maidens, Manoj Prabhakar captured three-wickets for 34-runs in 9-overs included 2-maidens, Ravi Shastri took 2-wickets and one for Arshad Ayub.

 Navjot Sidhu named Player of the match for his brilliant batting performance to scored a 80 off 88-balls including 5-fours & a six.
