  • Saleem Malik became the first Pakistan batsman to scored two centuries against Sri Lanka in ODIs.
  • Saleem Malik became the third Pakistan batsman to scored three centuries in ODIs after Zaheer Abbas (7) and Javed Miandad (6).

Sri Lanka scored 244-8 in 50 overs with top scorer by Brendon Kuruppu cracked a 63 off 98-balls including 4-fours & a six 

Aravinda de Silva struck 60 off 62-balls including 6-fours, Roshan Mahanama scored 35 off 56-balls included 2-fours, Arjuna Ranatunga hit 20 off 33-balls with a boundary and Ravi Ratnayeke hammered a unbeaten 18 off 12-balls contained 2-fours & a six with strike rate of 150.

Pakistan best bowler by Imran Khan picked up 3-wickets, Shoaib Mohammad took 2-wickets and one for Saleem Jaffar.

Pakistan chased 248-3 in 47.5 overs with top scorer by Saleem Malik scored a unbeaten 100 off 112-balls - which was his 3rd ODI hundred and his second century against Sri Lanka in ODIs.

Shoaib Mohammad struck 65 off 84-balls including 3-fours, Imran Khan hit a unbeaten 50 off 53-balls included 3-fours & a six and Aamer Malik scored 20 off 24-balls contained three-fours.

Sri Lanka best bowler by Ravi Ratnayeke strikes 1-wicket and Debutant Nilantha Ratnayake - who took one-wicket on his debut ODI match.

Saleem Malik named Player of the match for his match-winning unbeaten 100-runs knocked off facing 112-balls including 4-fours.

Saleem Malik earned player of the series for contributing 171 runs with average of 88 in the two-match series.
