West Indies scored 248-4 in the alloted 48 overs with top scorer by Desmond Haynes hammered a unbeaten 117 off 132-balls - which was his 13th ODI hundred and his first century against India in ODIs.

Viv Richards struck 40 off 38-balls including 3-fours, Gus Logie 19 not out and Richie Richardson 18.

India best bowler by Kapil Dev took 2-wickets and one for Ajay Sharma - Ravi Shastri.

India scored 198-8 in 48 overs with top scorer by Ajay Sharma hit a unbeaten 43 off 48-balls including 2-sixes & 2-fours.

Kiran More scored a run-a-ball 32-runs without a boundary, Dilip Vengsarkar hit a run-a-ball 23-runs including 2-fours.

Ravi Shastri scored 23 off consuming 55-balls including a boundary, Navjot Sidhu hit 21 off 32-balls included 3-fours and Kris Srikkanth 18.

West Indies best bowler by Viv Richards picked up 3-wickets for 47-runs in 10-overs, Ian Bishop, Eldine Baptiste both took 2-wickets and one for Courtney Walsh.

Desmond Haynes named Player of the match for his masterclass batting performance to scored a unbeaten 117-runs knocked off facing 132-balls including 8-fours and 5-sixes.
