Australia scored 228-5 in 48.5 overs with top scorer by Dean Jones cracked a unbeaten 85 off 89-balls including 4-fours & a six.

Simon O'Donnell hit a unbeaten 57 off 60-balls, Geoff Marsh scored 38 off consuming 82-balls included two boundaries, Mark Taylor, David Boon and Allan Border each took one-wickets.

Sri Lanka best bowler by Arjuna Ranatunga picked up 3-wickets for 41-runs in 10-overs including two maidens, Rumesh Ratnayeke and Graeme Labrooy both took one-wickets.

Sri Lanka scored 198 for all-out in 47.2 overs with top scorer by Arjuna Ranatunga cracked a 55 off 70-balls including 3-fours.

Roshan Mahanama hit 36 off 67-balls including 3-fours, Athula Samarasekera scored 30 off 50-balls in included two boundaries and Asanka Gurusinha 20 not out.

Australia best bowler by Simon O'Donnell claimed a 4-wickets, Peter Taylor, Merv Hughes both took 2-wickets and one for Steve Waugh.

Simon O'Donnell named Player of the match for his all-round performance to claimed a 4-wickets for 36-runs in 9-overs after scoring a brilliant unbeaten 57 off 60-balls including 3-fours & a six.
