Navjot Sidhu struck 64 off 73-balls including 4-fours and Kris Srikkanth scored 19 off 34-balls without a boundary.

Sri Lanka best bowler by Ravi Ratnayeke picked up 3-wickets for 31-runs in 10-overs, Uvaisul Karnain took 2-wickets and one for Asanka Gurusinha.

Sri Lanka chased 242-7 in 49.2 overs with top scorer by Arjuna Ranatunga hit a unbeaten 85 off 77-balls, Aravinda de Silva scored 34 off 47-balls 2-fours.

Hashan Tillakaratne hit 24 off 44-balls including 3-fours, Ravi Ratnayeke scored 22 off 35-balls included a four and Asanka Gurusinha scored 21 off 32-balls without a boundary.

India best bowler by Sanjeev Sharma strikes two-wickets, Ravi Shastri, Kapil Dev, Manoj Prabhakar each took one-wickets and Debutant Anil Kumble - who took one-wicket on his debut ODI match.

Arjuna Ranatunga named Player of the match for his match-winning captian innings of unbeaten 85 off 77-balls including 4-fours & 3-sixes with strike rate of 110.38.
