Blazing half-centuries from Anshy Rath and Yasim Murtaza before Bowlers shine as Hong Kong registered their historic first T20I win against China by a record 123-runs in a one-sided game of the opening match of a East Asia Cup.

Match Stats : 
  • Hong Kong's 123-run win was their largest victory by terms of runs in T20 international cricket history, previous biggest win by 91-runs against Netherlands at Dubai (DSC) in 2017.
  • Hong Kong's 171 was their joint seventh highest score in T20Is.
  • China's 48 was their fourth lowest score in T20 internationals.
  • China's 48 was the second lowest score in a full 20-overs in T20Is after their Croatia's 44 against Italy at Kerava in 2022.

Hong Kong scored 171-5 in 20 overs with top scorer by Anshy Rath hammered a unbeaten 72 off 46-balls, Yasim Murtaza blasted a 52 off 33-balls including 4-sixes & 2-fours with strike rate of 157.57 and Aizaz Khan scored 27 off 26-balls included 2-fours & a six.

China best bowler by Tian Sen Qun picked up 3-wickets for 20-runs in 4-overs including a maiden and Zhao Tianle took one-wicket.

China scored 48-8 in 20 overs with top scorer by Huang Junjie scored 10 off consuming 30-balls without a boundary, Chen Zhuo Yue and Deng Jinqi each scored 7-runs.

Hong Kong best bowler by Yasim Murtaza captured two-wickets for 5-runs in 4-overs including a maiden with economy rate of 1.24.

Nizakat Khan strikes 2-wickets for 5-runs in 2-overs, Nasrulla Rana took one-wicket for without conceded a run in 2-overs, Ateeq Iqbal and Ehsan Khan both took one-wickets.

Anshy Rath named Player of the match for his scintillating batting performance to smashed a career-best unbeaten 72 off 46-balls including 10-fours & 2-sixes with strike rate of 156.52.
