Ravichandran Ashwin, Kuldeep Yadav, Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill guided India cruise to innings & 64-run victory over England and clinch the five-match series with 4-1 inside three days in a one-sided game of fifth & final Test match.

  • India's innings & 64-run win was their second largest victory by terms of innings & runs against England in Tests matches after their innings & 75-run win at Chennai in 2016.
  • Ravichandran Ashwin became the 14th Indian player and Jonny Bairstow became the 17th England player to appearance 100th match in Test matches and overall the 77th & 78th players in Tests, Sachin Tendulkar holds the record for most matches in a career in Tests with 200 Tests, behind only James Anderson with 187 Tests.
  • England's 218 was the second lowest-score by any team at Dharamsala in Tests after Australia's 137 against India in 2017.
  • England's 218 was their 15th lowest score in a batting first against India in Indian soil in Tests.

  • England's 195 was their joint 15th lowest score in a second innings against India in Indian soil in Tests.

* Openers Yashasvi Jaiswal and Rohit Sharma's hard-hitting reply after Spinners Kuldeep Yadav's five-wicket haul and Ravichandran Ashwin's four-for as England bowled out for 218 in the opening day of the fifth & final Test.

* Kuldeep Yadav and Jasprit Bumrah push India's lead 253 after Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill's solid centuries as India commanding position on the day two of the fifth & final Test match.

* Spinner Ravichandran Ashwin's record-breaking 36th five-wicket haul on his 100th Test match as India crushing innings win against England, despite a last-gasp innings from Joe Root's 84 in the day three of the fifth & final Test.



England 1st Innings scored 218 for all-out in 57.4 overs with top scorer by Zak Crawley blasted a 79 off 108-balls including 11-fours & a six with strike rate of 73.14.

Jonny Bairstow blasted a 29 off 18-balls including 2-sixes & 2-fours with strike rate of 161.11, Ben Duckett struck 27 off 58-balls included 4-fours.

Joe Root scored 26 off 56-balls including 4-fours and Ben Foakes hit 24 off 42-balls contained three-fours.

1st Innings India best bowler by Kuldeep Yadav claimed a five-wicket haul for 72-runs in 15-overs including a maiden, Ravichandran Ashwin picked up 4-wickets for 51-runs in 11.4-overs included a maiden and Ravindra Jadeja took one-wicket.

India 1st Innings scored 473-8 in 120-overs at Stumps - with top scorer by Shubman Gill hammered a 110 off 150-balls - which was his 4th Test hundred and his second century against England in Tests - including 12-fours & 5-sixes with strike rate of 73.33.

Rohit Sharma struck 103 off 162-balls including 13-fours & 3-sixes with strike rate of 63.58, Debutant Devdutt Padikkal - who scored 65 off 103-balls on his debut Test match - included 10-fours & a six.

Sarfaraz Khan blasted a 56 off 60-balls including 8-fours & a six with strike rate of 93.33, Yashasvi Jaiswal hit 57 off 58-balls included 5-fours & 3-sixes with strike rate of 98.27.

Kuldeep Yadav scored a unbeaten 23 off 49-balls including a boundary, Jasprit Bumrah hit a unbeaten 16 off 48-balls included 2-fours, Dhruv Jurel and Ravindra Jadeja each scored 15-runs.

1st Innings England best bowler by Shoaib Bashir claimed a 4-wickets for 170-runs in 44-overs including five maidens, Tom Hartley took 2-wickets and one for Ben Stokes - James Anderson.

India 1st Innings scored 477 for all-out in 124.1 overs with top scorer by Shubman Gill hammered a 110 off 150-balls - which was his 4th Test hundred and his second century against England in Tests - including 12-fours & 5-sixes with strike rate of 73.33.

Rohit Sharma struck 103 off 162-balls including 13-fours & 3-sixes with strike rate of 63.58, Debutant Devdutt Padikkal - who scored 65 off 103-balls on his debut Test match - included 10-fours & a six.

Sarfaraz Khan blasted a 56 off 60-balls including 8-fours & a six with strike rate of 93.33, Yashasvi Jaiswal hit 57 off 58-balls included 5-fours & 3-sixes with strike rate of 98.27.

Kuldeep Yadav scored 30 off 69-balls including 2-fours, Jasprit Bumrah hit 20 off 64-balls included 2-fours, Dhruv Jurel and Ravindra Jadeja each scored 15-runs.

1st Innings England best bowler by Shoaib Bashir claimed a 4-wickets for 170-runs in 44-overs including five maidens, Tom Hartley took 2-wickets and one for Ben Stokes - James Anderson.

England 2nd Innings scored 195 for all-out in 48.1 overs with top scorer by Joe Root cracked a 84 off 128-balls including 12-fours.

Jonny Bairstow blasted a 39 off 31-balls including 3-sixes & 3-fours with strike rate of 125.80, Tom Hartley hit 20 off 24-balls included 4-fours and Ollie Pope scored 19 off 23-balls contained three-fours.

2nd Innings India best bowler by Ravichandran Ashwin claimed a 5-wicket haul for 77-runs in 14-overs, Jasprit Bumrah, Kuldeep Yadav took 2-wickets and one for Ravindra Jadeja.

Kuldeep Yadav named Player of the match for his all-round performance took seven wickets and contributed 30 runs in an match.

Yashasvi Jaiswal earned player of the series for contributing 712 runs including two double-centuries with average of 89 in the five-match series
