Shashank Singh's sparkling 29-ball 61* and Impact player Ashutosh Sharma's superb 17-ball 31 powers Punjab Kings chased the target of 200 against Gujarat Titans by a dramatic 3-wickets, despite a Shubman Gill's 48-ball 89* in a high-scoring thriller of the 17th match of a Indian Premier League.

  • Punjab Kings chased 200 was their sixth highest successful run-chase in Indian Premier League and It is their highest chase against Gujarat Titans in IPL, previously they have chased 144 at Dr. Dy Patil Sports Academy, Mumbai in 2022.
  • Punjab Kings chased 200 was the second highest successful run-chase by any team against Gujarat Titans in IPL after Kolkata Knight Riders have chased 205 at same venue in the last year.
  • Gujarat Titans' 199 was their joint sixth highest score in Indian Premier League and It is their highest total against Punjab Kings in IPL, previous highest was 190 at Brabourne Stadium, Mumbai in 2022.
  • Gujarat Titans' 199 was their sixth highest total at Ahmedabad in IPL.

  • Shashank Singh hammered a 25-ball second fastest fifty by an Punjab Kings batsman against Gujarat Titans in IPL after Liam Livingstone's 21-ball half-century at Brabourne Stadium, Mumbai in 2022.
  • 41 : Sikandar Raza and Shashank Singh set up the record fifth-wicket partnership for Punjab Kings against Gujarat Titans in IPL, previously held by the 23-run stand between Bhanuka Rajapaksa and Sam Curran at Mohali in the last year.
  • 43 : Shashank Singh and Ashutosh Sharma set up the record seventh-wicket partnership for Punjab Kings against Gujarat Titans in IPL, previously held by the 16-run stand between Shahrukh Khan and Harpreet Brar at Mohali in the last year.

* Gujarat Titans have a last chance of the dice. They go for DRS off the fifth ball of the final over which resulted in a leg bye and the Punjab Kings' victory. But they were already celebrating the win. Shashank Singh was lost inside a storm of huddles, everyone coming up to hug him. He actually has to pull away to see what was happening with the DRS. Bizarre scenes.


GT scored massive total of 199-4 in 20 overs with top scorer by Shubman Gill hammered a unbeaten 89 off 48-balls including 6-fours & 4-sixes with strike rate of 185.41.

Sai Sudharsan cracked a 33 off 19-balls including 6-fours with strike rate of 173.68, Kane Williamson struck 26 off 22-balls included 4-fours.

Rahul Tewatia blasted a unbeaten 23 off 8-balls contained three-fours & a six with strike rate of 287.50.

PBKS chased 200-7 in 19.5 overs with top scorer by Shashank Singh hammered a career-best unbeaten 61 off 29-balls, Prabhsimran Singh struck 35 off 24-balls including 5-fours & a six with strike rate of 145.83.

Ashutosh Sharma blasted a 31 off 17-balls included 3-fours & a six with strike-rate of 210.34, Jonny Bairstow hit 22 off 13-balls including 4-fours with strike rate of 169.23, Jitesh Sharma cracked a 16 off 8-balls included 2-sixes with strike rate of 200 and Sikandar Raza 15.

GT best bowler by Noor Ahmad captured two-wickets, Darshan Nalkande, Umesh Yadav, Mohit Sharma, Rashid Khan and Azmatullah Omarzai each took one-wickets.

Shashank Singh named Player of the match for his match-winning career-best sparkling unbeaten 61 off facing 29-balls including 6-fours & 4-sixes with strike rate of 210.34.
