Johnson Charles's brilliant 44, Andre Russell's 17-ball 30 and Spinner Akeal Hosein's record-breaking 5 for 11 gives West Indies registered their historic first T20I win against Uganda by a record 134-runs in a one-sided game of the 18th match of a T10 World Cup

  • West Indies' 134-run win was their largest victory by terms of runs in T20 international cricket history, previous biggest win by 84-runs against Pakistan at Mirpur in the 2014 World Twenty20 and the second biggest by any team win in T20 World Cups after Sri Lanka's  172-run win against Kenya at Johannesburg in the inaugural 2007 World Twenty20.
  • West Indies' 173 was their ninth highest score in T20 World Cups.
  • 41 : Brandon King and Johnson Charles equalled a joint eighth highest first-wicket partnership for West Indies in T20 World Cups.
  • Akeal Hosein's 5 for 11 was the second best bowling figures for West Indies in T20 international after Obed McCoy's 6 for 17 against India at Basseterre in 2022, It is the best-bowling-figures by an West Indies bowler in T20 World Cup, surpassing the previous record of 4 for 15 held by Samuel Badree against Bangladesh at Mirpur in the 2014 World Twenty20 and the sixth best bowling figures in T20 World Cups.
  • Uganda's 39 was their lowest score ever in T20 international cricket history, previous lowest was 58 against Afghanistan at Providence earlier in this tournament and the joint lowest-score in T20 World Cups, jointly with Netherlands' 39 against Sri Lanka at Chattogram in the 2014 World Twenty20.

West Indies scored 173-5 in 20 overs with top scorer by Johnson Charles cracked a 44 off 42-balls including 4-fours & 2-sixes.

Andre Russell hammered a unbeaten 30 off 17-balls including 6-fours with strike rate of 176.47, Rovman Powell struck 23 off 18-balls included one-six & a four.

Sherfane Rutherford struck 22 off 16-balls including 2-fours & a six, Nicholas Pooran hit 22 off 17-balls included 3-sixes and Brandon King scored 13 off 8-balls contained two boundaries.

Uganda best bowler by Brian Masaba captured two-wickets, Alpesh Ramjani, Dinesh Nakrani and Cosmas Kyewuta each took one-wickets.

Uganda bundled out for 39 in 12 overs with top scorer by Juma Miyagi hit a unbeaten 13 off 20-balls without a boundary, Robinson Obuya scored 6 off 8-balls including a boundary and Alpesh Ramjani 5.

West Indies best bowler by Akeal Hosein 5 for 11, Alzarri Joseph captured two-wickets for 6-runs in 3-overs, Andre Russell, Gudakesh Motie and Romario Shepherd each took one-wickets.

Akeal Hosein named Player of the match for his brilliant spin bowling performance to claimed a career-best 5-wicket haul for 11-runs in 4-overs with economy rate of 2.75.
