Oman holds nerve to pulled off a thrilling one-wicket victory over Nepal, despite a stunning all-round efforts from young All-rounder Gulshan Jha in a nail-biter game of the 28th match of a ICC Cricket World Cup League 2.

  • Gulshan Jha become the first Nepali player to score fifty or more runs and take five wickets in a match in One-day international cricket history.
  • Gulshan Jha's 5 for 47 was the eighth best bowling figures for Nepal in One-day international and the third best-bowling-figures by an Nepal bowler against Oman in ODIs.
  • Gulshan Jha became the second Nepal bowler to take a five-wicket haul against Oman in ODIs after Karan KC.
  • Gulshan Jha became the fifth Nepal bowler to registered five-wicket haul in ODIs.
  •  18y 214 days : Gulshan Jha became the youngest Nepal player to take a five-wicket haul in One-day international cricket history, surpassing the previous record of 19y 194 days by Sandeep Lamichhane against USA at Kirtipur in 2020 and the fourth youngest player to claimed a five-for in ODIs.

Nepal scored 220-9 in 50 overs with top scorer by Rohit Paudel struck 60 off 72-balls including 4-sixes & 2-fours.

Gulshan Jha hammered a 53 off 35-balls, Aarif Sheikh scored 35 off consuming 88-balls included a boundary.

Sompal Kami blasted a 20 off 8-balls including two sixes with strike rate of 250, Aasif Sheikh, Bhim Sharki and Sandeep Lamichhane each scored 11-runs.

Oman best bowler by Fayyaz Butt, Kaleemullah, Aqib Ilyas each took 2-wickets and one for Shoaib Khan - Shakeel Ahmed.

Oman chased 223-9 in 49.5 overs with top scorer by Jatinder Singh struck 41 off 49-balls including 3-fours & a six.

Kashyap Prajapati cracked a 36 off 52-balls including 4-fours, Aqib Ilyas hit 29 off 33-balls included 5-fours.

Shoaib Khan hit a run-a-ball 36-runs including 4-fours, Pratik Athavale scored 29 off 33-balls included 5-fours, Khalid Kail and Shakeel Ahmed each scored 17-runs.

Nepal best bowler by Gulshan Jha 5-47, Karan KC captured two-wickets for 27-runs in 10-overs with economy rate of 2.70, Aarif Sheikh and Sandeep Lamichhane both took one-wickets.

Gulshan Jha named Player of the match for his stunning all-round performance to claimed a career-best 5-wicket haul for 47-runs in 10-overs including two maidens after smashing a whirlwind 53 off 35-balls including 5-sixes & 3-fours with strike rate of 151.42.
