Aarif Sheikh's brilliant 84 before Three-wicket hauls from Sandeep Lamichhane, Debutant Nandan Yadav and Lalit Rajbanshi's two key wickets helped to Nepal narrow 16-run victory over Netherlands in the 77th match of a ICC Cricket World Cup League 2.
Nepal scored 236-9 in 50 overs with top scorer by Aarif Sheikh struck 84 off 85-balls, Bhim Sharki struck 35 off 38-balls including 3-fours, Rohit Paudel scored 35 off consuming 60-balls included a boundary.
Kushal Bhurtel hit 18 off 19-balls including 2-fours and Dipendra Singh Airee scored 16 off 24-balls included a boundary.
Netherlands best bowler by Paul van Meekeren claimed a 4-wickets for 58-runs in 10-overs, Michael Levitt picked up 3-wickets and one for Aryan Dutt.
Netherlands scored 220 for all-out in 49.2 overs with top scorer by Wesley Barresi cracked a 36 off 60-balls including 3-fours.
Scott Edwards scored 30 off 47-balls including two boundaries, Michael Levitt hit a run-a-ball 27-runs included 3-fours & a six.
Kyle Klein scored 25 off 46-balls including a six, Noah Croes hit 22 off 27-balls included 4-fours, Teja Nidamanuru 17 and Roelof van der Merwe 16.
Nepal best bowler by Sandeep Lamichhane picked up 3-wickets for 39-runs in 10-overs, Debutant Nandan Yadav - who captured three-wickets for 39-runs in 9-overs on his debut ODI match - including a maiden.
Lalit Rajbanshi captured two-wickets for 29-runs in 10-overs including a maiden with economy rate of 2.90, Kushal Bhurtel and Karan KC both took one-wickets.
Aarif Sheikh named Player of the match for his brilliant batting performance to scored a 84 off 85-balls including 7-fours & 2-sixes.
