  • Shubman Gill scored 743 runs in this Test series (9 Innings ) - the most runs scored by an Indian captain in a Test series, beating Sunil Gavaskar's record of 732-runs against West Indies in 1978-79, while Gavaskar's 732 runs also came in nine innings and the third-highest runs scored by any captain in a Test series after Don Bradman's 810 against England in the 1936-37 Ashes Series and Graham Gooch's 752 against India in 1990.
  • Shubman Gill's tally of 743 runs in this series was the second most-runs scored by an Indian batsman in a Test series after Sunil Gavaskar's 774-runs against West Indies in 1971.
  • 3149 Days after Karun Nair's fifty in the Test cricket - The second longest gap between two fifty-plus scores by an Indian batsman in Test cricket, Karun Nair's previous two fifties in the Test cricket - against England in 2016 when he went on to score 303* and unbeaten 52 also against England on today.   • Parthiv Patel had the previous longest gap Indian batsman between his half-centuries with 4426 days - 54 against Australia in 2004 and 67* against England in 2016.   • Joe Root scored 7224 runs in Test cricket in England - the second most-runs scored by any batsman in a single country after Ricky Ponting's 7578 in Australia and Sachin Tendulkar's 7216 in India.

* Opener Yashasvi Jaiswal's blazing fifty sees India just ahead after Mohammed Siraj and Prasidh's each four-fors as England bowled out for 247 and Gus Atkinson's five-for as India innings scored 224 on the 15-wicket day two of the fifth Test match.



India 1st Innings scored 224 for all-out in 69.4 overs with top scorer by Karun Nair cracked a 57 off 109-balls including 8-fours.

Sai Sudharsan struck 38 off 108-balls including 6-fours, Washington Sundar cracked a 26 off 55-balls included 3-fours.

Shubman Gill cracked a 21 off 35-balls included 4-fours and Dhruv Jurel scored 19 off 40-balls including two boundaries.

1st Innings England best bowler by Gus Atkinson claimed 5-wicket haul for 33-runs in 21.4-overs including eight maidens, Josh Tongue picked up 3-wickets and one for Chris Woakes.

England 1st Innings scored 247 for all-out in 51.2 overs with top scorer by Zak Crawley blasted a 64 off 57-balls including 14-fours with strike rate of 112.28.

Harry Brook hammered a unbeaten 48 off 49-balls including 5-fours & a six with strike rate of 97.95, Ben Duckett blasted a 43 off 38-balls included 5-fours & 2-sixes with strike rate of 113.15.

Joe Root cracked a 29 off 45-balls including 6-fours and Ollie Pope scored 22 off 44-balls included 4-fours.

1st Innings India best bowler by Prasidh Krishna claimed a 4-wickets for 62-runs in 16-overs including a maiden.

Mohammed Siraj captured 4-wickets for 86-runs in 16.2-overs included a maiden.

India 2nd Innings scored 75-2 in 18-overs at Stumps - with top scorer by Yashasvi Jaiswal hammered a unbeaten 51 off 49-balls including 7-fours & 2-sixes with strike rate of 104.08.

Sai Sudharsan hit 11 off 29-balls including a boundary, KL Rahul 7 and Akash Deep 4 not out.

2nd Innings England best bowler by Josh Tongue and Gus Atkinson both took one-wickets.
