Captain Salman Agha's quick-fire unbeaten half-century before Bowlers and Haris Rauf's record four-for gives Pakistan comfortable 39-run victory over Afghanistan, despite a skipper Rashid Khan's assault in the opening match of a triangular series.

  • Pakistan's 182 was their joint highest score against Afghanistan in T20 international, jointly with their 182 at same venue in 2023.

Pakistan scored 182-7 in 20 overs with top scorer by Salman Agha hammered a unbeaten 53 off 36-balls, Sahibzada Farhan struck 21 off 10-balls including 2-sixes & a four with strike rate of 210.

Mohammad Nawaz blasted a 21 off 11-balls including two-sixes & a four with strike-rate of 190.90, Fakhar Zaman cracked a 20 off 17-balls including one-six & a four.

Mohammad Haris hit 15 off 13-balls included a boundary, Faheem Ashraf hit 14 off 5-balls contained one-six & a four with strike rate of 280 and Saim Ayub scored 14 off 16-balls with 2-fours.

Afghanistan best bowler by Fareed Ahmad captured two-wickets, Mohammad Nabi, Mujeeb Ur Rahman, Rashid Khan and Azmatullah Omarzai each took one-wickets.

Afghanistan bowled out for 143 in 19.5 overs with top scorer by Rashid Khan hammered a 39 off 16-balls including 5-sixes & a four with strike rate of 243.75.

Rahmanullah Gurbaz blasted a 38 off 27-balls including 3-fours & a six with strike rate of 140.74.

Sediqullah Atal struck 23 off 19-balls including 2-sixes and Darwish Rasooli hit 21 off 13-balls contained one-six & a four with strike rate of 161.53.

Pakistan best bowler by Haris Rauf claimed a 4-wickets for 31-runs in 4-overs including a maiden, Shaheen Shah Afridi and Mohammad Nawaz both took 2-wickets.

Salman Agha named Player of the match for his captain innings of quick-fire unbeaten 53 off facing 36-balls including 3-sixes & 3-fours with strike rate of 147.22.
