Shaheen Shah Afridi's four-for before Hasan Nawaz's impressive debut half-century and Hussain Talat's 41* helped to Pakistan convincing five-wicket victory over West Indies and take a 1-0 lead in the first ODI.

  • Pakistan chased 281 was their third highest successful run-chase against West Indies in One-day international and It is their highest chase in West Indies in ODIs, previous highest chase was 260 also against West Indies at Port of Spain in 1993.
  • West Indies' 280 was their 11th highest score against Pakistan in One-day international and the third highest total by any team at Brian Lara Stadium, Tarouba, Trinidad in ODIs, previous highest was 151 against India in 2023.
  • Pakistan's 284 was their joint ninth highest score against West Indies in One-day international, It is their fourth highest-score in West Indies in ODIs and the second highest total by any team at Brian Lara Stadium, Tarouba, Trinidad in ODIs after India's 351 also against West Indies in 2023.
  • 104* : Hasan Nawaz and Hussain Talat set up the second highest sixth-wicket partnership for Pakistan against West Indies in ODIs, The highest is 120-run stand between Misbah-ul-Haq and Shahid Afridi at Providence in 2013.

West Indies scored 280 for all-out in 49 overs with top scorer by Evin Lewis struck 60 off 62-balls including 5-fours & 3-sixes.

Shai Hope hit 55 off 77-balls including 4-fours, Roston Chase cracked a 53 off 54-balls included 4-fours & 2-sixes.

Gudakesh Motie hammered a 31 off 18-balls including 3-fours & 2-sixes with strike rate of 172.22 and Keacy Carty scored 30 off 39-balls contained three boundaries.

Pakistan best bowler by Shaheen Shah Afridi claimed a 4-wickets for 51-runs in 8-overs, Naseem Shah picked up 3-wickets,  Salman Agha, Sufiyan Muqeem and Saim Ayub each took one-wickets.

Pakistan chased 284-5 in 48.5 overs with top scorer by Debutant Hasan Nawaz - who hammered 63 off 54-balls on his debut ODI match.

Mohammad Rizwan struck 53 off 69-balls including 4-fours, Babar Azam cracked a 47 off 64-balls included 5-fours & a six.

Hussain Talat hit a unbeaten 41 off 37-balls including 4-fours & a six with strike rate of 110.81, Abdullah Shafique struck 29 off 33-balls included 2-fours & a six and Salman Agha scored 23 off 26-balls contained 3-fours.

West Indies best bowler by Shamar Joseph captured two-wickets, Roston Chase, Gudakesh Motie and Jayden Seales each took one-wickets.

Debutant Hasan Nawaz named Player of the match for his match-winning impressive debut innings of unbeaten 63 off facing 54-balls including 5-fours & 3-sixes with strike rate of 116.66.
