Half-centuries from openers Alishan Sharafu and Muhammad Waseem before Bowlers and Junaid Siddique's four-for gives UAE comfortable 42-run victory over Oman and hosts got their first points in the seventh match of a T20 Asia Cup.

UAE's 172 was their joint third highest score against Oman in T20 international and It is their joint second highest-score in T20 Asia Cup. UAE's 172 was their sixth highest total at their home venue in T20 international and It is their second highest-score at Abu Dhabi in T20Is after their 180 against PNG in 2017. 88 : Alishan Sharafu and Muhammad Waseem set up the third highest first-wicket partnership for UAE against Oman in T20Is. Junaid Siddique's 4 for 23 was his fourth best bowling performance for UAE in T20 international and the best-bowling-figures by an UAE bowler against Oman in T20Is, surpassing the previous record of 3 for 9 held by Rohan Mustafa at same venue in 2015. Oman's 130 was their second lowest score in a completed innings against UAE in T20 international after their 101 at Mirpur in the 2016 T20 Asia Cup.

UAE scored 172-5 in 20 overs with top scorer by Muhammad Waseem struck 69 off 54-balls including 6-fours & 3-sixes.

Alishan Sharafu cracked a 51 off 38-balls, Muhammad Zohaib blasted a 21 off 13-balls included 2-fours & a six with strike rate of 161.53 and Harshit Kaushik hammered a unbeaten 19 off 8-balls contained 2-sixes & a four with strike-rate of 237.50.

Oman best bowler by Jiten Ramanandi took 2-wickets and one for Hassnain Shah - Samay Shrivastava.

Oman bowled out for 130 in 18.4 overs with top scorer by Aryan Bisht scored 24 off 32-balls including 2-fours.

Jatinder Singh blasted a 20 off 10-balls including 4-fours with strike rate of 200, Vinayak Shukla struck 20 off 17-balls included 2-fours and Shakeel Ahmed hit a unbeaten 14 off 10-balls contained one-six & a four with strike rate of 140.

UAE best bowler by Junaid Siddique claimed a 4-wickets for 23-runs in 4-overs, Muhammad Jawadullah, Haider Ali both took 2-wickets and one for Muhammad Rohid.

Alishan Sharafu named Player of the match for his brilliant 51 off facing 38-balls including 7-fours & a six with strike rate of 134.21.
