Starc has now taken 26 wickets in the first over of an innings in Test cricket after James Anderson took 29 wickets.
  • 418 wickets taken by Mitchell Starc - The most wickets taken by left-arm pace bowler in Test cricket history, beating Wasim Akram's record of 414 wickets.
  • Joe Root became the first England batsman to scored 40 centuries in Test cricket history and overall the fourth player to achieve this feat in Tests after Sachin Tendulkar (51), Jacques Kallis (45) and Ricky Ponting (41).

England 1st Innings scored 325-9 in 74 overs with top scorer by Joe Root blasted a unbeaten 135 off 202-balls - which was his 40th Test hundred, his fifth ton against Australia in Tests and his first century in Australia in Tests - including 15-fours & a six with strike rate of 66.83.

Zak Crawley blasted a 76 off 93-balls including 11-fours, Jofra Archer hammered a unbeaten 32 off 26-balls including 2-sixes & a four with strike rate of 123.07.

Harry Brook hammered a 31 off 33-balls including 4-fours with strike rate of 93.93, Ben Stokes hit 19 off 49-balls included 4-fours and Will Jacks scored 19 off 31-balls contained 3-fours.

1st Innings Australia best bowler by Mitchell Starc claimed a 6-wickets for 71-runs in 19-overs, Michael Neser and Scott Boland both took one-wickets.
