* Curtly Ambrose, the Windies Test spearhead and arguably the No 1 bowler in world cricket, took 5-32 from 9.3 overs as Australia was bowled out for 214 in reply to the West Indies' 8-239 from 50 overs. The giant Antiguan took 2-6 from six overs in an outstanding initial spell and mopped up the tail with three balls left in the match.




West Indies scored 239-8 in 50 overs with top scorer by Brian Lara struck 67 off 81-balls including 7-fours.

Carl Hooper cracked a 45 off 56-balls including two boundaries, Gus Logie struck 38 off 36-balls included 3-fours.

Desmond Haynes hit 38 off 60-balls including 6-fours and Richie Richardson scored 28 off 52-balls included a boundary.

Australia best bowler by Greg Matthews, Steve Waugh, Allan Border each took 2-wickets and one for Craig McDermott.

Australia bowled out for 214 in 49.3 overs with top scorer by Mark Waugh scored 51 off 70-balls including 2-fours.

Ian Healy hit 33 off 30-balls included a boundary, Mark Taylor struck 28 off 49-balls included 3-fours.

Allan Border cracked a 27 off 39-balls including a boundary, David Boon hit 16 off 37-balls included 2-fours and Steve Waugh scored 15 off 29-balls without a boundary.

West Indies best bowler by Curtly Ambrose claimed a 5-wicket haul for 32-runs in 9.3-overs including two maidens with economy rate of 3.36, Kenny Benjamin and Carl Hooper both took 2-wickets.
