Javed Miandad's unbeaten fifty and Saleem Malik's 48 before Bowlers attack helped to Pakistan narrow 3-run victory over England and reduced the margin of defeat 1-3 in a low-scoring thrilling game of the fourth ODI.
Pakistan scored 204-5 in the allotted 50 overs with top scorer by Javed Miandad cracked a unbeaten 50 off 60-balls, Saleem Malik struck 48 off 76-balls - who fell two-run short of his half-century - including 3-fours.
Wasim Akram hit 23 off 26-balls including 2-fours, Ramiz Raja scored 23 off consuming 74-balls without a boundary.
Aamer Sohail struck 20 off 35-balls including 3-fours and Inzamam-ul-Haq scored 16 off 25-balls contained two-fours.
England best bowler by Phil DeFreitas captured 2-wickets, Dermot Reeve, Ian Botham and Richard Illingworth each took one-wickets.
England bowled out for 201 in 49.2 overs with top scorer by Allan Lamb cracked a 55 off 78-balls including 3-fours.
Ian Botham struck 40 off 69-balls including 5-fours, Neil Fairbrother blasted a 33 off 30-balls included 5-fours with strike rate of 110 and Richard Blakey scored 25 off 49-balls contained 3-fours.
Pakistan best bowler by Waqar Younis picked up 3-wickets for 36-runs in 9.2-overs with economy rate of 3.60, Aamer Sohail, Aaqib Javed, Wasim Akram each took 2-wickets and one for Mushtaq Ahmed.
Javed Miandad named Player of the match for his captain innings of unbeaten 50 off facing 60-balls including 5-fours.
