The first One-day international match between Sri Lanka and New Zealand was abandoned due to downpour when Sri Lanka were 41 for lost two wickets after New Zealand posted 166 for 9.

Chris Harris scored a unbeaten 32 off 53-balls without a boundary, Andrew Jones cracked a 24 off consuming 68-balls included one-six & a four and Adam Parore hit 20 off 34-balls contained a four.

Sri Lanka best bowler by Ruwan Kalpage picked up 3-wickets for 29-runs in 10-overs with economy rate of 2.90, Asanka Gurusinha and Promodya Wickramasinghe both took 2-wickets.

Sri Lanka scored 41 for 2 in 10.2 overs at when rain stopped the play with top scorer by Aravinda de Silva hit a unbeaten 13 off 12-balls including a boundary.

Roshan Mahanama scored a unbeaten 11 off 34-balls without a boundary and Chandika Hathurusinghe 5.

New Zealand best bowler by Chris Pringle took 2-wickets for 15-runs in 5.2-overs with economy rate of 2.81.
