India best bowler by Sachin Tendulkar picked up 3-wickets for 36-runs in 10-overs with economy rate of 3.60, Venkatesh Prasad captured two-wickets, Javagal Srinath, Anil Kumble and Manoj Prabhakar each took one-wickets.

India chase down the target of 222, finishing at 225 for 6 in 48.2 overs with top scorer by Mohammad Azharuddin struck 81 off 84-balls, Manoj Prabhakar cracked a 38 off 62-balls including 6-fours.

Nayan Mongia hit a unbeaten 24 off 31-balls including 3-fours, Vinod Kambli cracked a 22 off 34-balls included a boundary and Ajay Jadeja scored 21 off 42-balls contained a four.

West Indies best bowler by Courtney Walsh, Kenny Benjamin and Anderson Cummins each took 2-wickets.

Mohammad Azharuddin named Player of the match for his match-winning captain innings of 81 off facing 84-balls including 7-fours & a six.
