  • Carl Hooper became the fourth West Indies batsman to score a century against New Zealand in ODIs after Gordon Greenidge, Desmond Haynes and Viv Richards.

West Indies scored 306-6 in 50 overs with top scorer by Carl Hooper cracked a career-best 111 off 114-balls - which was his 2nd ODI hundred and his first century against New Zealand in ODIs, Brian Lara struck 69 off 75-balls including 7-fours.

Keith Arthurton cracked a 45 off 47-balls including 2-fours & a six, Anderson Cummins hit a unbeaten 29 off 17-balls included one-six & a four with strike rate of 170.58 and Stuart Williams struck 25 off 28-balls contained 4-fours.

New Zealand best bowler by Dion Nash picked up 3-wickets for 48-runs in 10-overs including a maiden, Chris Pringle took 2-wickets and one for Simon Doull.

New Zealand scored 171-9 in the allotted 50 overs with top scorer by Chris Pringle hammered a 34 off 22-balls including 2-sixes & 2-fours with strike rate of 154.54.

Bryan Young scored 33 off 72-balls including a boundary, Dion Nash hit a unbeaten 20 off 34-balls included a four and Stephen Fleming scored 18 off 42-balls without a boundary.

West Indies best bowler by Rajindra Dhanraj - who took 4-wickets for 26-runs in 10-overs on his debut bowling innings - including two maidens with economy rate of 2.60, Keith Arthurton took 2-wickets and one for Courtney Walsh - Carl Hooper.

Carl Hooper named Player of the match for his brilliant batting performance to scored 111-runs knocked off facing 114-balls including 11-fours.
