  • Waqar Younis became the fourth Pakistan bowler to take a hat-trick in ODIs after Jalal-ud-Din, Wasim Akram and Aaqib Javed, while Wasim Akram took two hat-trick.

New Zealand bundled out for 172 in 47.4 overs with top scorer by Blair Hartland cracked a 44 off 69-balls including 5-fours.

Ken Rutherford struck 30 off 46-balls including 3-fours, Stephen Fleming 19, Chris Harris 18, Bryan Young 17, Mark Priest 17 not out and Shane Thomson 15.

Pakistan best bowler by Waqar Younis claimed a 4-wickets including a hat-trick, Aamer Sohail, Kabir Khan both took 2-wickets and one for Akram Raza - Aaqib Javed.

Pakistan chase down the target of 173, finishing at 175 for 5 in 38.5 overs with top scorer by Aamer Sohail struck 52 off 62-balls including 9-fours.

Saeed Anwar cracked a 41 off 76-balls including 4-fours, Ijaz Ahmed hit a unbeaten 25 off 30-balls included 3-fours and Inzamam-ul-Haq scored 15 off 19-balls contained one-six & a four.

New Zealand best bowler by Mark Priest captured two-wickets and one for Chris Harris - Shane Thomson.

Waqar Younis named Player of the match for his pace bowling attack to claimed a 4-wickets including a hat-trick after removing of Chris Harris (18), Chris Pringle (0) and Richard de Groen (0).
