The victory lifts PBKS to fourth place on the points table. However, their qualification still depends on other results.

Scenario 1 – Rajasthan Royals vs Mumbai Indians tomorrow: 

If RR beat MI, PBKS are eliminated from playoff contention.

If MI beat RR, PBKS stay alive but must watch KKR’s final match.

Scenario 2 – KKR vs DC net run rate equation:

If MI beat RR, Kolkata Knight Riders can still overtake PBKS on NRR. To do that, KKR would need to beat Delhi Capitals by approximately 77 runs if they score 200 batting first. If chasing, KKR would need to chase down 180 in around 12–12.4 overs.

If MI beat RR and KKR fail to achieve that margin, Punjab Kings will qualify for the playoffs.



LSG scored massive total of 196-6 in 20 overs with top scorer by Josh Inglis blasted a 72 off 44-balls including 9-fours & 2-sixes with strike rate of 163.63.

Ayush Badoni hammered a 43 off 18-balls including 5-fours & 3-sixes with strike rate of 238.88, Abdul Samad blasted a unbeaten 37 off 20-balls 3-sixes & 3-fours with strike rate of 185 and Rishabh Pant scored 26 off 22-balls contained 3-fours.

PBKS best bowler by Yuzvendra Chahal, Marco Jansen both took 2-wickets and one for Azmatullah Omarzai - Shashank Singh.

PBKS chase down the target of 197, finishing at 200 for 3 in 18 overs with top scorer by Shreyas Iyer hammered a career-best unbeaten 101 off 51-balls - which was his 1st IPL hundred.

Prabhsimran Singh blasted a 69 off 39-balls including 7-fours & 2-sixes with strike rate of 176.92 and Cooper Connolly hit 18 off 10-balls contained 4-fours with strike rate of 180.

LSG best bowler by Mohammed Shami captured two-wickets and one for Arjun Tendulkar.

Shreyas Iyer named Player of the match for his match-winning magnificent captain innings of career-best unbeaten 101-runs knocked off facing 51-balls including 11-fours & 5-sixes with strike rate of 198.03.
