Three-wicket hauls from Taskin Ahmed, Mustafizur Rahman and Tanvir Islam's two wickets before Soumya Sarkar, Najmul Hossain Shanto and Towhid Hridoy's forties helped to Bangladesh convincing five-wicket victory over Australia and clinch the their historic first ODI series win against Australia in a low-scoring second ODI.

This is the Bangladesh's first bilateral ODI series win against Australia after their four consecutive ODI series defeats against Australia. The Mirpur ODI game produced the third instance of Australia's both team openers getting out for a ducks in the same match. Matthew Short were out for regular duck and Cooper Connolly were out for golden duck in this ODI. This is the first instance between Bangladesh and Australia's both team openers getting out for a ducks in the same match. Bangladesh chased 192 was their lowest successful run-chase against Australia in ODIs, previously they had chased 250 at Cardiff in the 2005 NatWest Series.

Australia scored 187-8 in 42-overs at when rain stopped the play with top scorer by Marnus Labuschagne cracked a unbeaten 55 off 85-balls including three boundaries.

Xavier Bartlett hammered a 52 off 48-balls including 4-fours & 2-sixes with strike rate of 108.33, Josh Inglis struck 34 off 38-balls Included 4-fours & a six and Cameron Green hit 25 off 50-balls contained 2-sixes & a four.

Bangladesh best bowler by Mustafizur Rahman picked up 3-wickets for 27-runs in 7-overs including two maidens, Taskin Ahmed captured three-wickets for 33-runs in 8-overs and Tanvir Islam took 2-wickets.

Bangladesh chase down the target of 192, finishing at 195 for 5 in 41-overs - due to rain revised DLS target of 192 from 41-overs with top scorer by Soumya Sarkar struck 42 off 47-balls including 5-fours & 2-sixes.

Najmul Hossain Shanto hit 41 off 53-balls including 5-fours, Towhid Hridoy cracked a unbeaten 40 off 55-balls including 2-fours & a six.

Mehidy Hasan Miraz hit a run-a-ball included one-six & a four and Mosaddek Hossain hit included one-six & a four.

Australia best bowler by Cameron Green, Matt Renshaw both took one-wickets, Debutant Matt Renshaw - who took 1-wicket for 29-runs in 6-overs, Adam Zampa,  Xavier Bartlett, - who scored  1-wicket for 29-runs.

Mustafizur Rahman named Player of the match for his brilliant bowling performance to picked up 3-wickets for 27-runs in 7-overs including two maidens with economy rate of 3.85.
