India best bowler by Venkatesh Prasad picked up 3-wickets for 37-runs in 10-overs with economy rate of 3.70, Javagal Srinath took 2-wickets and one for Anil Kumble - Manoj Prabhakar.

India chase down the target of 203, finishing at 206 for 2 in 33.1 overs with top scorer by Sachin Tendulkar blasted a unbeaten 112 off 107-balls - which was his 4th ODI hundred and his first century against India in ODIs.

Manoj Prabhakar struck 60 off 79-balls including 7-fours and Javagal Srinath hit a unbeaten 14 off 12-balls included 2-fours.

Sri Lanka best bowler by Sanath Jayasuriya took 2-wickets for 42-runs in 10-overs.

Sachin Tendulkar named Player of the match for his match-winning swashbuckling unbeaten 112 off facing 107-balls including 15-fours & a six with strike rate of 104.67.
