England best bowler by Debutant Robert Croft - who took 2-wickets for 36-runs in 10-overs on his debut ODI match - including a maiden with economy rate of 3.60.

Debutant Alan Mullally - who picked up 1-wicket on his debut ODI match, Darren Gough and Ronnie Irani both took one-wickets.

England chase down the target of 226 for 5 in 46.4 overs with top scorer by Mike Atherton cracked a 65 off 93-balls, Alec Stewart struck 48 off 58-balls - who fell two-run short of his half-century - including 5-fours.

Matthew Maynard scored 41 off 53-balls included one-six & a four, Nick Knight cracked a 26 off 34-balls including 2-fours and Graham Thorpe scored 23 off 32-balls without a boundary.

Pakistan best bowler by Wasim Akram picked up 3-wickets for 45-runs in 9.4-overs including a maiden, Waqar Younis and Aamer Sohail both took one-wickets.

Mike Atherton named Player of the match for his match-winning captain innings of 65 off 93-balls including 5-fours .
