  • Sanath Jayasuriya's unbeaten 151 was the highest score by an Sri Lanka batsman in one-day international cricket history, surpassing the previous record of 145 held by Aravinda de Silva against Kenya at Kandy in the 1996 World Cup and also the highest-score by an Sri Lankan batsman against India in ODIs, surpassing the previous record of 121 held by Roy Dias at Bangalore in 1982.
