A fine all-round performance by Chris Harris, Chris Cairns and Career-best bowling by Daniel Vettori helped New Zealand to a comfortable 40-run victory over Zimbabwe and take a 1-0 lead in the first ODI.

Alistair Campbell scored 22 off 37-balls including 2-fours and Heath Streak hit a unbeaten 16 off 15-balls contained one-six & a four.

New Zealand best bowler by Daniel Vettori claimed a career-best 4-wickets for 49-runs in 10-overs, Chris Harris took 2-wickets and one for Dion Nash - Shayne O'Connor.

Chris Harris named Player of the match for his all-round performance to took 2-wickets for 47-runs in 10-overs after scoring a unbeaten 52 off 59-balls including 3-fours & a six.
