Aaron Finch's career-best unbeaten 153 led to Australia emphatic eight-wicket victory over Pakistan, despite a maiden ODI century from Mohammad Rizwan and take a 2-0 lead in the second ODI.

Match Stats : 
  • 285 : This was 2nd highest successful ODI run-chase for Australia against Pakistan. Their highest chase of 316 during the 1998 Lahore against the Pakistan.
  • 285 : The joint-highest successful chase by any team at Sharjah, West Windies chase the 285 back in 1993 also against Pakistan.
  • Aaron Finch’s 153 was the 3rd highest individual ODI score for Australia in Asia. Shane Watson scored an unbeaten 183 also during in the 2011 series in Bangladesh. George Bailey scored 156 against India in 2013 at Nagpur.
  • Aaron Finch is only the 4th player to score 150 plus in an ODI in the UAE; all those four coming in Sharjah. Sanath Jayasuriya 189 vs India in 2000, while Brian Lara 169 vs Sri Lanka in 1995. Brian Lara also scored 153 when the Windies registered the highest ODI chase in Sharjah against Pakistan in 1993.
  • 209 : Aaron Finch and Usman Khawaja set up the 2nd highest opening partnership in the UAE. The pair of Shikhar Dhawan and Rohit Sharma added 210 during the Asia Cup game against Pakistan in 2018 at Dubai.
  • 209 – Aaron Finch and Usman Khawaja set up the highest first wicket partnership for Australia in and ODI run-chase. Adam Gilchrist and Mark Waugh added 206 against the Windies in 2001 at Brisbane.

Pakistan scored 284-7 in 50-overs with top scorer by Mohammad Rizwan 115 off 126-balls - which was his maiden ODI century - including 11-fours.

Shoaib Malik struck 60 off 61-balls including 3-fours & a six, Haris Sohail scored 34 off 46-balls included 5-fours, Shan Masood 19, Imad Wasim 19 and Umar Akmal 16.

Australia best bowler by Jhye Richardson - Nathan Coulter-Nile each took two wickets, Aaron Finch, Adam Zampa and Nathan Lyon each took one wickets.

Australia chased 285-2 in 47.5 overs with top scorer by Aaron Finch blasted a unbeaten 153 off 143-balls - which was his 13th ODI hundred.

Usman Khawaja cracked a 88 off 109-balls including 8-fours, Glenn Maxwell 19 and Shaun Marsh 11 not out.

Pakistan best bowler by only Yasir Shah took one wicket for 60-runs from his 10-overs

Aaron Finch named Player of the match for his match-winning knock of 153 not out off 143 deliveries including eleven 4s and six 6s, Aaron Finch, who earned the second Player of the match award in the 5-match ODI series.
