Shivnarine Chanderpaul maiden hundred to West Indies win

India tour of West Indies 4-match one-day international series of the 4th ODI match played between India and Pakistan at Bridgetown, Barbados in 1997.

Shivnarine Chanderpaul made his Maiden ODI hundred helped to West Indies emphatic 10-wicket victory over India in the 4th one-day match.

West Indies openers Stuart Williams and Shivnarine Chanderpaul set up the unbroken match winning 200-runs partnership to West Indies chased the India's 199 in the 45th over of the Match.

West Indies brilliant bowling attack restricted to India 199 for 7 in 50-overs.

India's top scorer by Ajay Jadeja (68), Mohammad Azharuddin (40), Rahul Dravid (30) and Robin Singh scored 29-runs.

West Indies bowler Courtney Walsh, who took two match turning wicket of Sachin Tendulkar and Ajay Jadeja, Sir Curtly Ambrose, Ottis Gibson, Franklyn Rose and Shivnarine Chanderpaul each took 1-1 wickets.

Chanderpaul's first century in ODI which came in the 4th ODI of the West Indies vs India in 1997 ODI series at Bridgetown, Barbados.

Shivnarine Chanderpaul opened the batting with Stuart Williams while chasing a target of 200 and was at his fluent best right from the word go with some amazing timed shots and finding the gaps at will.

Chanderpaul kept motoring along with his aggressive stroke-play and eventually reached his maiden ODI century and remained unbeaten on 109 which helped the Windies reach the target with over 5 overs to spare, with all 10 wickets in hand.

Shivnarine Chanderpaul played is one of his most well constructed innings and earned him both, the Man of the Match and the Man of the Series awards.
