Waqar Younis Thrilling Final Over to Match Tied

Pakistan tour of New Zealand 5-match one-day international series of the 4th ODI match played between Pakistan vs  Zealand at Auckland in 13th March 1994.

Waqar Younis's thrilling bowling performance to almost Pakistan losing match goes to tied with his deadly spell of 6-30 in 9.4 overs.

In this match Pakistan won the toss and decided to batting first, they scored 161-9 in their allotted 50-overs - with their top scorer by Basit Ali (34), Saeed Anwar (25) and Aamir Sohail (24).

New Zealand bowler Gavin Larsen took 4-24 and Shane Thompson 2-22.

While chasing New Zealand were lost five wickets in 142-runs, after their last five wickets lost in just 19-runs.

New Zealand needing only 3 runs from the last over, Waqar Younis gave only 2 runs and took 2 wickets to tie the match to produce one of the best tied matches in one-day cricket history.

Waqar Younis names man of the match for his thrilling bowling spell of 6-30 with falling New Zealand 6-batsmans - Bryan Young (5), Blair Hartland (3), Shane Thompson (24), Gavin Larsen (1), Matthew Hart (6) and Richard de Groen (2).
