After World Cup 8 months India visited New Zealand tour of 2-match ODI series ended with series lost 2-0 and 3-Test match series result drawn with 1-1.

New Zealand completed a "White Wash" - in two match one-day international series against India when New Zealand beat India by 9 wickets with 37 balls to remaining in the second one-day international match at the Auckland in 1976.

New Zealand won the toss and decided to batted first, some blazing batting by New Zealand captain Glenn Turner scored 52-runs off facing 63 deliveries included six 4s.

New Zealand openers Glenn Turner and Jock Edwards (32) set up the strong 71-run stand for opening wicket partnership, Jock Edwards caught out by Madan Lal off Bhagwath Chandrasekhar.

Glenn Turner was stumped out after second wicket 35-run partnership with Lance Cairns, Pochiah Krishnamurthy, who stumping by his debut one-day international match and bowling off Srinivas Venkataraghavan, At this stage New Zealand were 106-2.

New Zealand lost another wicket After New Zealand batsman Bevan Congdon added 3-runs, He was caught and bowled by Eknath Solkar.

Lance Cairns hammering 31 with two 6s, he was run out at New Zealand scoredboard reach the 142-4 and falling fifth wicket at same score of 142 with John Parker (14).

New Zealand middle order batsmen Mark Burgess and Ken Wadsworth handle the difficult situation, both built the 52-run stand for sixth wicket partnership, Mark Burgess, who had scored the brilliant 38 off 31 deliveries including four 4s and one six.

Ken Wadsworth scored a unbeaten 46 helped to New Zealand set the huge total of 236 in their allotted 35-overs.

Indian debutant bowler Bhagwath Chandrasekhar, who took the 3-36 with his first one-day international match, Eknath Solkar 2, Mahinder Amarnath and Srinivas Venkataraghavan takes 1-1 wickets.

While India needed 237 in 35-overs, India opener started well but not build up the big partnership for first wicket partnership, Parthasarthi Sharma (14) and Dilip Vengsarkar, who added 40-run stand for first wicket partnership.

Dilip Vengsarkar hit 44 knock of facing 54 deliveries including eight, Vengsarkar was caught out by Glenn Turner off Dayle Hadlee.

After Vengsarkar exit, Brijesh Patel was added delightful display of scoring 44 off 61 deliveries, India falling their wickets consistently. And India all-out for 156 in 31.6 overs.

New Zealand's seven bowlers took the wickets of eight bowlers, Dayle Hadlee took India's key batsmens wickets of Dilip Vengsarkar and Brijesh Patel.

Ken Wadsworth named Player of the match for his wonderful unbeaten 46 knock off faced 56-deliveries.

New Zealand won the series with 2-0, New Zealand won the 1st ODI by 9-wickets with 37-balls remaining.

India all-out for 154 in allotted 50 overs with top scorer by Gundappa Viswanath 56 off 88-balls.

New Zealand top scorer Glenn Turner 63 not out, Jock Edwards 41 and Bevan Congdon 45 not out helped to New Zealand chasing the target of 155-1 in 30.3 overs with 37-balls spare.

Richard Collinge named player of the match for his brilliant spell of 5-23 in 7-overs.
