Angelo Mathews magnificent 87 and Dasun Shanaka superb 3-27 bowling spell helped to Sri Lanka cruise 122-run victory over Bangladesh and 3-match series completed the clean sweep with 3-0.

Earlier, Sri Lanka won the toss and decided to bat first, their opener Avishka Fernando (6) leg before wicket by Shafiul Islam in the 5th over, then Dimuth Karunaratne and Kusal Perera established the 83-run stand for second wicket partnership off 15-overs before Karunaratne (46) caught out by Mushfiqur Rahim off Taijul Islam.

At this stage Sri Lanka were 96-2 in the 20.2 overs, after two runs Kushal Perera (42) catch out by Mushfiqur Rahim off Rubel Hussain in the 22nd over.

After Perera exit, Andrew Mathews build the 101-run stand for fourth wicket partnership with Kusal Mendis before Kusal Mendis was (54) caught by Sabbir Rahman off Shafiul Islam and 52-run stand for fifth wicket partnership with Dasun Shanaka (30) and scoreboard of 251-5 in 46.1 overs, before Dasun Shanaka smashed 30 off 14 deliveries with two sixes and two fours.

Angelo Mathews pulling and driving headed toward his delightful half-century and smashed the 87 off 90 deliveries including eight 4s and a six helped to Sri Lanka set the strong total of 294 for 8 in 50-overs with last 23-balls Sri Lanka added 43-runs.

Bangladesh bolwer Soumya Sarkar - Shafiul Islam each took three wickets and Rubel Hussain - Taijul Islam both picked up one wickets.

While chasing 295, Bangladesh captain Tamim Iqbal, who has been in decent touch but has not been able to convert start into good scores, he was very experienced and a good player good servant of Bangladesh in his team.

Bangladesh fell first wicket with Tamim Iqbal (2) was caught by wicketkeeper Kusal Perera, who took the big booming drive catch off Kasun Rajitha in the 2nd over at Bangladesh were 4-1.

After Haque exit, Mushfiqur Rahim (10) caught by Kusal Mendis off Dasun Shanaka, Bangladesh bit of trouble 46 for 3 in 12 overs, in the fifteenth over Soumya Sarkar smashed excellent six off Akila Dananjay.

In the 16th Mohammad Mithun (4) caught by Lahiru Kumara at fine-leg off Dasun Shanaka, this is big blow for Bangladesh, at this stage Bangladesh were 60-4.

Soumya Sarkar was added delightful display of 69 off 86 deliveries but Bangladesh falling their wickets consistently. And Taijul Islam showed his display of unbeaten 39 but that was too little too late to Bangladesh all-out for 172 in 36 overs.

Sri Lanka won by 122-runs and record a 3-0 whitewash after 44 months.

Sri Lanka bowler Dasun Shanaka picked up three wickets for 27-runs from his 6 overs, Kasun Rajitha and Lahiru Kumara each too two wickets.

Angelo Mathews named Player of the match and series of his magnificent 87 in this match, half-century in the 2nd game before 48 in the first one-day match.
