Stunning centuries from Ross Taylor and Henry Nicholls before Lockie Ferguson's four-for helped to New Zealand massive 115-run victory over Sri Lanka and clinch the three-match series 3-0 whitewash in the third ODI.

  • New Zealand's 115-run win was their third largest victory by terms of runs against Sri Lanka in One-day internationals.
  • This is the 11th time New Zealand have whitewashed their oppositions in a bilateral three-match series in One-day international and their third against Sri Lanka in ODIs.
  • This is the fourth time Sri Lanka have suffered a clean sweep in a bilateral three-match series in One-day internationals.
  • 116 : Kane Williamson and Ross Taylor set up third highest second-wicket partnership for New Zealand against Sri Lanka in One-day internationals.
  • 154 : Ross Taylor and Henry Nicholls set up the record fourth-wicket partnership for New Zealand against Sri Lanka in One-day international, previously held by the 97-run stand between John Reid and Jeff Crowe at Colombo (RPS) in 1984 and New Zealand's eighth highest fourth-wicket stand in ODIs.
  • Ross Taylor's 137 was his second highest score for New Zealand in One-day international and the fifth highest score by an New Zealand batsman against Sri Lanka in ODIs.
  • 101 : Thisara Perera and Danushka Gunathilaka set up the third highest sixth-wicket partnership for Sri Lanka against New Zealand in One-day internationals.
  • New Zealand's 364 was their eighth highest score in One-day international, it is their second highest total against Sri Lanka in ODI and the highest ODI total at Saxton Oval, previous highest was 322 by Bangladesh against Scotland in the 2015 World Cup.
  • Sri Lanka lost their last five wickets for just 5-runs - which was their joint worst five-wicket collapse in One-day international and it is their worst 5-wicket collapse against New Zealand in ODIs. They went from 244 for 5 to 249 for all out.
  • Sri Lanka's 249 was their lowest score at Saxton Oval in One-day internationals, previous lowest was 276 against New Zealand in 2015.
  • This is the eighth instance of New Zealand's two batsmen were scores of hundred or more runs in their innings in One-day internationals and It is their second such instance against Sri Lanka in ODIs, The only other such instance came against Sri Lanka at Dunedin in 2015.

New Zealand scored massive total of 364-4 in 50-overs with top scorer by Ross Taylor 137 - which was his 20th ODI hundred and his second century against Sri Lanka in ODIs.

Henry Nicholls hammered a unbeaten 124 off 80-balls - which was his 1st ODI hundred - including 12-fours & 3-sixes with strike rate of 155.

Kane Williamson scored 55 off 65-balls including 6-fours & a six and Colin Munro blasted a 21 off 14-balls included 4-fours with strike rate of 150.

Sri Lanka best bowler by Lasith Malinga picked up 3-wickets and one for Lakshan Sandakan.

Sri Lanka scored 249 for all-out in 41.4 overs with top scorer by Thisara Perera hammered a 80 off 63-balls including 7-fours & 3-sixes with strike rate of 126.98.

Niroshan Dickwella blasted a 46 off 37-balls including 3-fours & 2-sixes with strike rate of 124.32, Kusal Perera cracked a 43 off 49-balls included 5-fours & a six.

Dhananjaya de Silva hit 36 off 29-balls including 5-fours & a six with strike rate of 124.14 and Danushka Gunathilaka scored 31 off 52-balls included a boundary.

New Zealand best bowler by Lockie Ferguson claimed a 4-wickets for 40-runs in 8-overs, Ish Sodhi picked up 3-wickets for 40-runs in 8.4-overs, James Neesham and Tim Southee both took one-wickets.

Ross Taylor named player of the match for his magnificent batting performance to scored a 137-runs knocked off facing 131-balls including 9-fours and 4-sixes with strike rate of 104.58.
