Half-centuries from AB de Villiers and Quinton de Kock before Bowlers attack helped to South Africa's record 159-run victory over New Zealand and wrap up 2-1 lead in a one-sided game of the third ODI.

Match Stats : 
  • South Africa's 159-run win was their largest victory by terms of runs against New Zealand in One-day internationals, previous biggest win by 143-runs at Auckland in 1999.
  • New Zealand's 112 was their lowest score in the completed innings against South Africa in One-day international, previous lowest was 134 at Cape Town in 1994 and It is their seventh lowest score at home venue in ODIs.
  • 84 : AB de Villiers and Wayne Parnell set up the record seventh-wicket partnership for South Africa against New Zealand in One-day international, previously held by the 65-run stand between Justin Kemp and Shaun Pollock at Bloemfontein in 2005 and South Africa's sixth highest seventh-wicket stand in ODIs.
  • South Africa's 271 was their fifth highest score against New Zealand in New Zealand soil in One-day internationals.

South Africa scored 271-8 in 50 overs with top scorer by AB de Villiers struck 85-runs, Quinton de Kock 68 off 70-balls - who scored 3rd consecutive fifty in the series - including 6-fours & 2-sixes.

Faf du Plessis scored 36 off 46-balls including 4-fours and Wayne Parnell hit 35 off 32-balls included 2-fours & a six.

New Zealand best bowler by Colin de Grandhomme picked up 2-wickets for 40-runs from 10-overs, Mitchell Santner, Trent Boult, Tim Southee and Lockie Ferguson each took one wickets.

New Zealand scored 112 for all-out in 32.2 overs with top scorer by Colin de Grandhomme scored unbeaten 34 off 34-balls including 2-fours and sixes, Kane Williamson struck 23 off 40-balls, Ross Taylor 18 and James Neesham 13.

South Africa best bowler by Dwaine Pretorius claimed 3-wickets for 5-runs from 4-overs, Andile Phehlukwayo, Wayne Parnell, Kagiso Rabada each took two wickets and one for Imran Tahir.

AB de Villiers named Player of the match for his brilliant batting performance to scored 85-runs off 80-balls included 7-fours and a six.
