Stunning centuries from Quinton de Kock and Hashim Amla before Chris Morris' four-for helped to South Africa domineering 88-run victory over Sri Lanka, despite a fighting century from Asela Gunaratne and clinch their historic first five-match series 5-0 whitewash against Sri Lanka in a high-scoring game of the fifth ODI.

South Africa's 88-run win was their ninth largest victory by terms of runs against Sri Lanka in One-day internationals. This is the fifth time South Africa have whitewashed their oppositions in a bilateral five-match series in One-day international and their first against Sri Lanka in ODIs. This is the second time Sri Lanka have suffered a clean sweep in a bilateral five-match series in One-day internationals. 410 : Faf du Plessis became the fifth player to hit most runs in a bilateral five-match series in One-day international and the most by an South African batsman in ODIs, surpassing the previous record of 402 by Hashim Amla against West Indies in 2010. 187 : Quinton de Kock and Hashim Amla set up the record first-wicket partnership for South Africa against Sri Lanka in One-day international, previously held by the 150-run stand between Gary Kirsten and Andrew Hall at Galle in 2000 and also the South Africa record any-wicket stand in ODIs. South Africa's 384 was their ninth highest score in One-day international and it is their highest total against Sri Lanka in ODIs, previous highest was 367 at Cape Town in this series' fourth ODI. 24 : Hashim Amla equalled a joint most centuries for South Africa in One-day internationals, jointly with AB de Villiers. 142 Innings : Hashim Amla became the fastest to reach 24 ODI centuries in terms of innings, beating Virat Kohli's record, He took 161 innings to reach this feat. 4 : Hashim Amla hit the most centuries by an South African batsman against Sri Lanka in One-day international, surpassing the previous record of 3-hundred hit by Jacques Kallis. Hashim Amla's 154 was his second highest score for South Africa in One-day international and the second highest-score by an South African batsman against Sri Lanka in ODIs. 74 Innings : Quinton de Kock became the fastest wicket-keeper batsman to reach 3000 ODI runs in terms of Innings, surpassing the previous record of 94 innings jointly took by MS Dhoni. This is the 24th instance of South Africa's two or three batsmen were scores of hundred or more runs in their innings in One-day internationals and This is the fourth such instance of South Africa's two batsman scores of hundred or more runs against Pakistan in ODIs.

South Africa scored record total of 384-6 in 50 overs with top scorer by Hashim Amla 154 - which was his 24th ODI hundred and his fourth century against Sri Lanka in ODIs.

Quinton de Kock hammered a 109 off 87-balls - which was his 12th ODI hundred and his second century against Sri Lanka in ODIs - including 16-fours with strike rate of 125.29.

Faf du Plessis cracked a 41 off 34-balls including 2-sixes & a four with strike rate of 120.59, Farhaan Behardien blasted a 32 off 20-balls included 2-sixes & a four with strike rate of 160.

Sri Lanka best bowler by Suranga Lakmal picked up 3-wickets, Lahiru Madushanka took 2-wickets and one for Jeffrey Vandersay.

Sri Lanka scored 296-8 in 50 overs with top scorer by Asela Gunaratne 114 not out off 117-balls - which was his first ODI hundred - including 14-fours & 2-sixes.

Sachith Pathirana struck 56 off 62-balls including 6-fours & a six, Niroshan Dickwella hammered a 39 off 19-balls included 5-fours & 2-sixes with strike rate of 205.26 and Suranga Lakmal 20 not out.

South Africa best bowler by Chris Morris claimed a career-best 4-wickets for 31-runs in 10 overs, Wayne Parnell took 2-wickets and one for Imran Tahir.

Hashim Amla named Player of the match for his masterclass batting performance to scored a 154-runs knocked off facing 134-balls including 15-fours and 5-sixes with strike rate of 114.93.

Faf du Plessis earned player of the series for contributing record-breaking 410-runs including two-centuries and a fifty with average of 82 in the five-match ODI series.
