South African star batsman Faf du Plessis smashed a record-breaking career-best 185-runs knocked off facing 141-balls including 16-fours and 3-sixes helped to South Africa posted the the record total of 367 against Sri Lanka.
* Faf du Plessis's 185 was the second highest score for South Africa in One-day international after Gary Kirsten's unbeaten 189 and the highest score by an South African batsman against Sri Lanka in ODIs, surpassing the previous record of 128 held by Quinton de Kock at Hambantota in 2014.
* Faf du Plessis' 185 was the highest score by any batsman in South Africa in One-day internationals, surpassing the previous record of 178 held by Quinton de Kock against Australia at Centurion in last year and also the highest by any batsman at Newlands, Capetown in ODIs, surpassing the previous record of 173 held by David Warner against South Africa in last year.
Faf du Plessis who slammed his 8th One-day international century - which was his second century against Sri Lanka in ODIs and his 100 came from 89-balls.
