Brendan Taylor's classy century, Sikandar Raza's blazing 92 before Graeme Cremer's four-for, Tendai Chatara and Blessing Muzarabani's combined 5-wickets helped to Zimbabwe reversal of the first ODI 154-run victory over Afghanistan, despite a late assault from Dawlat Zadran's 47* and level the series with 1-1 in a one-sided second ODI.

  • Zimbabwe's 154-run win was their seventh largest victory by terms of runs in One-day international and it is their biggest win against Afghanistan in ODIs.
  • Afghanistan's 154-run defeat was their second worst by margin of runs in ODIs.
  • Brendan Taylor's 125 was his fourth highest score for Zimbabwe in One-day international and the second highest-score by an Zimbabwe batsman against Afghanistan in ODIs after Sikandar Raza's 141.
  • Brendon Taylor became the fourth Zimbabwean batsman to score a hundred against Afghanistan in One-day internationals after Sikandar Raza, Sean Williams and Hamilton Masakadza.
  • Zimbabwe's 333 was their fifth highest score in One-day international and It is their highest total against Afghanistan in ODIs, previous highest was 261 at Bulawayo in 2014.
  • Afghanistan's 179 was their seventh lowest score against Zimbabwe in One-day internationals.
  • 135 : Brendan Taylor and Sikandar Raza set up the record fourth-wicket partnership for Zimbabwe against Afghanistan in One-day international, previously held by the 85-run stand between Sean Williams and Elton Chigumbura at Bulawayo in 2014.
  • It is the first time Sikandar Raza dismissals on nervous nineties in One-day internationals.

Zimbabwe scored massive total of 333-5 in 50 overs with top scorer by Brendan Taylor 125 - which was his 9th ODI hundred and his first century against Afghanistan in ODIs.

Sikandar Raza hammered a 92 off 74-balls including 9-fours & 4-sixes with strike rate of 124.32. Hamilton Masakadza 48 off 54-balls - who fell two-run short of his half-century - included 5-fours & 2-sixes and Malcolm Waller 17 not out.

Afghanistan best bowler by Rashid Khan took 2-wickets and one for Mujeeb Ur Rahman and Gulbadin Naib.

Afghanistan scored 179 for all-out in 30.1 overs with top scorer by Dawlat Zadran hammered a 47 off 29-balls including 6-sixes & 2-fours with strike rate of 162.

Rahmat Shah scored 43 off 61-balls including 7-fours, Mohammad Nabi hit 31 off 28-balls included 3-fours & 2-sixes with strike rate of 110.71, Mohammad Shahzad and Mujeeb Ur Rahman each scored 15-runs.

Zimbabwe best bowler by Graeme Cremer claimed a 4-wickets for 41-runs in 5.1 overs, Tendai Chatara picked up 3-wickets for 24-runs in 8-overs including a maiden, Blessing Muzarabani took 2-wickets and one for Brian Vitori.

Brendan Taylor named player of the match for his brilliant batting performance to scored a 125-runs knocked off facing 121-balls including 8-sixes and 5-fours with strike rate of 103.31.
