Trent Boult's five-for before Brendon McCullum's record-equal fastest fifty and Mr.Cool Kane Williamson's superb unbeaten 45 led to New Zealand tense one-wicket victory over Australia, despite a Mitchell Starc's record-breaking six-wicket haul in a low-scoring thriller of the 20th match of a World Cup.

*Trent Boult's 5 for 27 was his best bowling performance for New Zealand in One-day international, It is the fifth best bowling figures by an New Zealand bowler against Australia in ODIs and the fourth best bowling figures by an New Zealand bowler in World Cups.

* Mitchell Starc's 6 for 28 was the fourth best bowling figures for Australia in One-day international, also the fourth best bowling for Australia in World Cup and the best bowling figures by an Australian bowler against New Zealand in ODIs, surpassing the previous record of 5 for 13 held by Simon O'Donnell at Christchurch in 1990.

* Brendon McCullum hammered a 21-ball his joint fifth fastest fifty for New Zealand in One-day international and the joint fastest fifty by any batsman against Australia in ODIs, jointly 21-ball half-century held by their New Zealand's Lance Cairns at Melbourne in 1983 and the quickest half-century by any batsman against Australia in World Cups, surpassing the previous record of 25-ball fifty held by Andy Blignout at Bulawayo in the 2003 World Cup.

Australia best bowler by Mitchell Starc claimed a career-best 6-wicket haul for 28-runs in 9 overs, Pat Cummins took 2-wickets and one for Glenn Maxwell.
