Bowlers attack after masterclass century from Hashim Amla and Faf du Plessis' fifty helped to South Africa comprehensive 72-run victory over New Zealand and took an unassailable 2-0 lead to seal the series in the second ODI.

South Africa scored 282-9 in 50 overs with top scorer by Hashim Amla 119 - which was his 16th ODI hundred.

Faf du Plessis struck 67 off 73-balls including 3-fours and 2-sixes, AB de Villiers blasted a 37 off 25-balls included 5-fours & a six with strike rate of 148, Quinton de Kock 26 and JP Duminy 19.

New Zealand best bowler by Corey Anderson, Mitchell McClenaghan, Tim Southee, Trent Boult each took two-wickets and one for James Neesham.

New Zealand scored 210 for all-out in 46.3 overs with top scorer by Luke Ronchi struck 79 off 83-balls including 7-fours and a six.

Mitchell McClenaghan scored a unbeaten 34 off 43 deliveries included four boundaries and Dean Brownlie 20.

South Africa best bowler by Vernon Philander, AB de Villiers, Imran Tahir, Dale Steyn each took two-wickets and one for JP Duminy - Morne Morkel.
