Luke Ronchi's record-breaking 170* and Grant Elliott's unbeaten century sets up to New Zealand thumping 108-run victory over Sri Lanka, despite a brilliant century from Tillakaratne Dilshan and wrap up 3-1 lead in the fifth ODI.

  • New Zealand's 108-run win was their second largest victory by terms of runs against Sri Lanka in One-day internationals.
  • 267 : Luke Ronchi and Grant Elliott set up the record sixth-wicket partnership in One-day international cricket history, surpassing the previous record held by the 218-run stand between Mahela Jayawardene and MS Dhoni (ASIA XI) against Africa XI at Chennai in 2007 and the seventh highest any-wicket stand in ODIs.
  • 9 : Luke Ronchi equalled a joint third most sixes hit for New Zealand in an innings in One-day international, jointly with Lou Vincent and the most sixes hit by an New Zealand batsman against Sri Lanka in an innings in ODIs, surpassing the previous record of 6-sixes hit by Scott Styris at Bloemfontein in the 2003 World Cup.
  • Luke Ronchi plundered 170* was the fourth highest score for New Zealand in One-day International and the highest score by an New Zealand batsman against Sri Lanka in ODIs, surpassing the previous record of 141 held by Scott Styris at Bloemfontein in the 2003 World Cup.
  • Luke Ronchi's 170 was the highest score by a No.7 batsman in One-day international cricket history, surpassing the previous record of unbeaten 139* held by MS Dhoni (Asia XI) against Africa XI at Chennai in 2007.
  • New Zealand's 360 was their sixth highest score in One-day International and it is their highest total against Sri Lanka in ODIs.
  • New Zealand's 108-run was their second largest victory by terms of runs against Sri Lanka in One-day Internationals.
  • Sri Lanka lost their six seven wickets for just 28-runs - which was their second worst six-wicket collapse against New Zealand in One-day international. They went from 224 for 4 to 252 for all out.

New Zealand were 93-5 to scored 360 for 5 in 50 overs with top scorer by Luke Ronchi 170 not out - which was his 1st ODI hundred.

Luke Ronchi smashed a sensational unbeaten 170-runs Knocked off facing 99-balls including 14-fours and 9-sixes with strike rate of 171.71.

Grant Elliott scored a unbeaten 104 off 96-balls - which was his 2nd ODI hundred and his first century against Sri Lanka in ODIs - including 7-fours & 2-sixes with strike rate of 108.33.

Kane Williamson scored 26 off 32-balls including 4-fours and Brendon McCullum hit 25 off 37-balls included 5-fours.

Sri Lanka best bowler by Lahiru Thirimanne, Nuwan Kulasekara both took 2-wickets and one for Thisara Perera.

Sri Lanka scored 252 for all-out in 43.4 overs with top scorer by Tillakaratne Dilshan 116 off 106-balls - which was his 20th ODI hundred and his third century against New Zealand in ODIs - including 17-fours & a six with strike rate of 109.43.

Lahiru Thirimanne scored 45 off 65-balls including 3-fours & a six, Mahela Jayawardene hit 30 off 29-balls included 3-fours and Jeevan Mendis 18.

New Zealand best bowler by Trent Boult claimed 4-wicket haul for 44-runs in 10-overs, Tim Southee, Grant Elliott and Mitchell McClenaghan each took 2-wickets.

Luke Ronchi and Grant Elliott both shared the player of the match.
