Moeen Ali, Jos Buttler and Joe Root powers to England cruising to via DLS method five-wicket victory over Sri Lanka and reduce the margin to 2-1 in a rain-truncated game of the third ODI.

* 7-RPO : England chased 236 in 33.4 overs was their third fastest to 200-plus run-chase by terms of runs-per-over in One-day International and it is their second fastest 200+ chase against Sri Lanka in ODIs.

* 363 Innings : Kumar Sangakkara became the third fastest to reach 13000 ODI runs in terms of innings, after Sachin Tendulkar (321) and Ricky Ponting (341).

* Kumar Sangakkara became the fourth player to reach 13,000 ODI runs after Sachin Tendulkar, Ricky Ponting and Sanath Jayasuriya.

Sri Lanka scored 242-8 in 35 overs with top scorer by Kumar Sangakkara struck 63 off 62-balls including seven boundaries, Lahiru Thirimanne blasted a unbeaten 62 off 42-balls including 7-fours with strike rate of 131.91.

Tillakaratne Dilshan scored 23 off 19-balls including 4-fours and Dhammika Prasad hammered a 22 off 8-balls included 2-sixes & 2-fours with strike rate of 275.

England best bowler by Chris Woakes picked up 3-wickets, Chris Jordan takes 2-wickets, Joe Root, Ravi Bopara and Steven Finn each took one-wickets.

England chased 236-5 in 33.4 overs due to rain revised target of 236 in 35-overs with top scorer by Moeen Ali hammered a 58 off 40-balls including 5-sixes & 2-fours with strike rate of 145.

Jos Buttler 55 not out, Joe Root cracked a run-a-ball unbeaten 48 including 2-sixes & 2-fours, Alastair Cook scored 34 off 42-balls included 5-fours and Alex Hales 27.

Sri Lanka best bowler by Angelo Mathews took 2-wickets, Rangana Herath and Dhammika Prasad.

Jos Buttler named Player of the match for his match-winning unbeaten blazing 55-runs knocked off 37-balls including 9-fours with strike rate of 148.64.
